Zoomer Rules

The Fun-N-Sun Speedway is open to all paid Zoomer Club members and their guests.
Membership is required to participate in racing programs or any track use. In order to join the Zoomers RC club you must be staying at Fun n Sun or another Encore property.

  1. Dirt Track Requirements: Electric powered 1/10th scale cars/trucks only. Maximum Battery size: NiMH up to seven cells or 2s (cell) 7.4v LiP0.
  2. Mini-Track Requirements: 1/16th and 1/18th scale cars with brushed motors only.
  3. Drivers must drive from the driver’s stand. RC cars should not be placed on the track in front of the driver’s stand and left unattended, rather they should be driven onto the track at the Turn 1 opening. If necessary to upright a car, first remove it from the track and then drive it back onto the track.
  4. Closed toed shoes are only on the track. No sandals or flip flops.
  5. Controllers should never be left on and unattended even for a short period.
  6. Lipo (Lithium Polymer) batteries can be extremely dangerous if managed improperly. Become educated about proper charging and handling techniques.
  7. Club members are encouraged to assist in the maintenance of the track.
  8. The sport entails a great deal of unintentional colliding. Drivers are not responsible for damage caused unintentionally to another r/c vehicle.
  9. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the track, Drivers Platform or area by driver’s platform except during club social events. Intoxicated people will be asked to leave!
  10. A club member must always accompany all guests (non-members). Guests are not allowed to participate in any racing events. At no time should children be left on track by themselves.
  11. SAFETY IS TOP PRIORITY: If you witness unsafe behavior, report it to the club officers.
  12. ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY; No use of foul language, arguing/yelling with track officers, fellow competitors, or Turn Marshalls.
  13. TRACK MAINTENANCE: The track is normally closed on Sunday mornings to facilitate Maintenance and work projects.
  14. TRACK CONDITION: Signs will be posted if the track is closed. Do not operate your car if there is standing water on the track.
  15. Feel free to use track lights but respect our neighbors by turning them off by 10PM.
  16. Smoking is not permitted in or near the pit area and drivers stand.
